Hello !

My name is Gilles, your contact during your stay. I speak French, German and English. I live nearby and am at your disposal if needed, discreet if all goes well!

 

This little guide gives you all the useful information you need, plus a few ideas for restaurants, walks and places to visit, so you can make the most of your stay.

Arrival / Departure

Check-in

You can arrive at the apartment from 16:00. If the apartment is available earlier, I will let you know a few days before your arrival.

Arrival by car

1. A parking space is available at the rear of the building.

2. Park in the third space from the bicycle shelter.

3. The one with the number NE 93640. Please park carefully so as not to disturb the other tenants of the building.

4. Once you have parked your vehicle, collect the key to enter the building.

5. The key is in the key box hanging in the bicycle shelter.

6. You will receive the code for the key box a few days before your arrival.

7. Enter the building (number 72).

8. Go up to the 4th floor.

9. It is the apartment with the doorbell marked ‘Apartment 9’.


If you are coming with several vehicles, please let me know in advance so that I can find a parking solution, but please do not occupy the spaces of other tenants, thank you!

Arrival by public transport

If you plan to come by public transport, Neuchâtel train station is located about 1 km on foot from the apartment. You can find the route to follow here.


You can also take bus numbers 120 and 122, which depart from the north of the train station, and get off at the ‘Neuchâtel, Collège des Parcs’ stop.


1. From the ‘Neuchâtel, Collège des Parcs’ bus stop, cross the road and walk back a few metres to the Escalier de l'Immobilière staircase.

2. Go down the Escalier de l'Immobilière staircase.

3. Walk a few metres and turn right after passing through the tunnel.

4. Walk along the building to the bicycle shelter.

5. The key box is located in the bicycle shelter.

6. You will receive the code for the key box a few days before your arrival.

7. Enter building no. 72.

8. Go up to the 4th floor.

9. It is the apartment with the doorbell marked ‘Appartement 9’.

Check-Out / Last day

Please make sure to vacate the apartment by 12:00 PM at the latest. If you do not know what to do with your luggage, contact me to arrange something.

Before leaving, please:

  • Empty the refrigerator

  • Clean your dishes

  • Take out your trash and deposit it at the location indicated in the "Waste / Recycling" section

  • Leave the apartment in a decent condition.

 

The cleaning team will appreciate finding the apartment in good order, thank you!

Before leaving the apartment, please check that all windows are closed.

When you leave, lock the apartment and don’t forget to return the keys to the key box.

Good to know

Bedding and towels

Beds are made up on arrival and towels are available in the bathroom.

Water

Tap water is very good, so there is no need to purchase bottled water.

Starter kit

In the apartment you will find:

  • Basic kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, olive oil, some coffee capsules, tea, sugar, a few trash bags, etc.)

  • Shower products (shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper roll…)

  • Some brochures about the region (regional map, tourist guide…)

House rules

We kindly ask you to respect the following house rules:

1. Stays of More Than 14 Days

For stays longer than 14 days, the accommodation can host a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under 16 years old.

2. Authorized Persons

For safety and peace of mind, only the guests registered in the reservation are allowed to access the accommodation.

3. Care of the Accommodation

  • Please use the accommodation and its furniture carefully and respectfully.
  • The apartment is completely non-smoking.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Please switch off the lights when leaving the apartment.
  • Remember to close the windows and lock the door when you leave.
  • After a shower, please leave the bathroom door open to allow proper ventilation.

4. Respect for Neighbors

Please respect the peace and quiet of the building, especially during the evening and night.

5. Prohibited Activities

All illegal activities (prostitution, drugs, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

6. Identity Verification

An official ID may be requested before or during the stay, in accordance with legal requirements.

Failure to present a valid document may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

7. In Case of Non-Compliance

To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for everyone, any violation of the rules may result in the immediate termination of the stay and eviction without refund.

Guest card

During your stay with us, you will benefit from the advantages of the Neuchâtel Tourist Card.


This guest card allows you to:

  • Use public transport free of charge throughout the canton of Neuchâtel (bus, train, funicular, postal bus)

  • Enjoy free entry to around thirty activities (museums, cruises, bike rentals, chairlifts) in the canton

 

Here’s how to get your pass:

  • A few days before your arrival, I will send you a link by email or via the booking platform you used to reserve our accommodation.

  • Click on the link.

  • Fill in the required information (first name, last name, date of birth of each person in your group).

  • Access your card directly on your smartphone or print it out.

  • The NTC is valid from the day of your arrival until midnight on the day of your departure.

Public transport

  • Neuchâtel train station is located here 1 km from the flat. 
  • The nearest bus stop to the station is "Neuchâtel, Collège des Parcs". Bus numbers 120 and 122 will take you directly to the station. 
  • The easiest way to get to the city centre is on foot, which takes around 5-10 minutes.

Shopping

The flat is close to Neuchâtel town centre, where you'll find a host of shops, bakeries, boutiques, cafés and restaurants...


Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are market days in the town centre.

Waste / Recycling

The nearest household waste collection point is located here. Please use tax-paid bin liners (light grey). Just next door, you'll find a brown container for compost. 


The collection point for recyclable waste (paper, glass, aluminium) is here.


PET and batteries can be taken to any food shop (Lidl, Coop, Migros, Denner, etc.).
