This little guide gives you all the useful information you need, plus a few ideas for restaurants, walks and places to visit, so you can make the most of your stay.

Check-in

You can arrive at the apartment from 16:00. If the apartment is available earlier, I will let you know a few days before your arrival.

Arrival by car

1. Access Chemin du Petit-Catéchisme from Rue du Plan. After the funicular station, turn left onto Chemin du Petit-Catéchisme.

3. Walk downhill for 50 metres to the crossroads.

4. Turn right to park your car.

5. Park in the spot shown in the photo. Please park against the wall so as not to obstruct other vehicles.

6.vWalk down Chemin du Petit-Catéchisme to the gate just before the bridge.

7. Open the gate using the digital code.

8. You will receive the code a few days before your arrival.

9.Enter the apartment through the glass door.

10. The code for the box will also be sent to you a few days before your arrival.

11. To open the gate from the inside, press the button located on the box to the left of the gate.

Arrival by public transport

If you plan to come by public transport, Neuchâtel train station is located about 700 metres from the apartment. You can find directions here.

You can also take bus No. 421 (towards ‘Cernier’) or No. 109 (towards ‘Trois-Chênes’) from the north side of the station and get off at the ‘Neuchâtel, Plan’ stop.

1. From the ‘Neuchâtel, Plan’ bus stop, cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.

2. Walk down Chemin du Petit-Catéchisme.

3. Continue towards the apartment.

4. Walk down to the bridge. It is the gate on the right before the bridge.

5. Open the gate using the digital code.

6. The code will be sent to you a few days before your arrival.

7. Enter the apartment here.

8. You will receive the code for the key box a few days before your arrival.

9. To open the gate from the inside, press the button located on the box to the left of the gate.

Check-Out / Last day

Please make sure to vacate the apartment by 12:00 PM at the latest. If you do not know what to do with your luggage, contact me to arrange something.

Before leaving, please:

Empty the refrigerator
Clean your dishes
Take out your trash and deposit it at the location indicated in the "Waste / Recycling" section
Leave the apartment in a decent condition.

The cleaning team will appreciate finding the apartment in good order, thank you!

Before leaving the apartment, please check that all windows are closed.

When you leave, lock the apartment and don’t forget to return the keys to the key box.

Bedding and towels

Beds are made up on arrival and towels are available in the bathroom.

Water

Tap water is very good, so there is no need to purchase bottled water.

Starter kit

In the apartment you will find:

Basic kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, olive oil, some coffee capsules, tea, sugar, a few trash bags, etc.)
Shower products (shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper roll…)
Some brochures about the region (regional map, tourist guide…)

House rules

We kindly ask you to respect the following house rules:

1. Authorized Persons

For safety and peace of mind, only the guests registered in the reservation are allowed to access the accommodation.

2. Care of the Accommodation

Please use the accommodation and its furniture carefully and respectfully.
The apartment is completely non-smoking.
Pets are not allowed.
Please switch off the lights when leaving the apartment.
Remember to close the windows and lock the door when you leave.
After a shower, please leave the bathroom door open to allow proper ventilation.

3. Respect for Neighbors

Please respect the peace and quiet of the building, especially during the evening and night.

4. Prohibited Activities

All illegal activities (prostitution, drugs, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

5. Identity Verification

An official ID may be requested before or during the stay, in accordance with legal requirements.

Failure to present a valid document may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

6. In Case of Non-Compliance

To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for everyone, any violation of the rules may result in the immediate termination of the stay and eviction without refund.

Guest card

During your stay with us, you will benefit from the advantages of the Neuchâtel Tourist Card.

This guest card allows you to:

Use public transport free of charge throughout the canton of Neuchâtel (bus, train, funicular, postal bus)
Enjoy free entry to around thirty activities (museums, cruises, bike rentals, chairlifts) in the canton

Here’s how to get your pass:

A few days before your arrival, I will send you a link by email or via the booking platform you used to reserve our accommodation.
Click on the link.
Fill in the required information (first name, last name, date of birth of each person in your group).
Access your card directly on your smartphone or print it out.
The NTC is valid from the day of your arrival until midnight on the day of your departure.

Public transport

Neuchâtel train station is 700 m from the flat.
The nearest bus stop to the station is "Neuchâtel, Plan". Bus numbers 109 or 421 (direction Place-Pury) will take you directly to the station.
The easiest way to get to the city centre is on foot, which takes around 5-10 minutes. You can also take the funicular from the "Neuchâtel, Plan (FUNI)" stop. It runs every 5-10 minutes. To go back up from the town, the funicular leaves from the "Neuchâtel, Ecluse (FUNI)" stop.
